Mr. Chao is Founding President of the Association of Hong Kong Accounting Advisors. He was Chairman of PwC Asia Pacific and Chairman and CEO of PwC China. He was also one of the five senior partners on PwC’s Global Network Leadership Team that set the overall strategy for PwC.

Mr. Chao is a firm believer in making a positive impact on society and the community. He holds various external appointments including: 

• Member, The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference

• Member, Election Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)

• Expert Advisor in accounting to the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China

• Member, Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, Hong Kong Monetary Authority

• Member, Advisory Committee, HKSAR’s Office for Attracting Strategic Investors

• Vice President, Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, Vice President & Treasurer, HK-Shanghai Economic Development Association and Honorary President, Shanghai Hong Kong Association  

• Treasurer and Board Member, The Community Chest

• Adjunct Professor, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Professional Fellow, Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
